Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Depart USA

  • Board your domestic flight to Boston and connect with your overnight flight to Tel Aviv, Israel.

Day 2: Tel Aviv, Israel

1 night Grand Beach Hotel, Tel Aviv or similar. Dinner.

  • Arrive in Tel Aviv
  • Meet your Tour Director
  • Check-in at your hotel

Tel AvivFull Day Itinerary: Arrive at Tel Aviv (Ben Gurion) airport. After arriving at Ben Gurion airport we begin our Biblical journey in the ancient port city of Jaffa (Joppa), with its connections to Jonah and Peter. We will spend the night in Tel Aviv, where we will experience our first Israeli dinner and a walk by the Mediterranean Sea.

Day 3: Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, Megiddo & Mt. Arbel

2 nights Prima Galil Hotel or similar. Breakfast & dinner.

  • Visit excavations of the port city of Caesarea
  • Visit Megiddo Megiddo (Biblical Armageddon), with excavations of 20 layers of civilization
  • Continue to Mt Carmel, where Elijah defeated the priests of Ba'al
  • Stop at Mt. Arbel

Aqueduct, CaesareaFull Day Itinerary: We begin with a visit to the port city of Caesarea and then  travel to Mt. Carmel where Elijah had a showdown with the prophets of Baal.  We will visit the ruins of Megiddo, an important Old Testament site.  We will drive through Nazareth on our way to Mt. Arbel for a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee.  Then on to our hotel in Tiberias, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, for dinner and overnight. 

Day 4: Mount of Beatitudes, Dan, Caesarea Philippi & Capernaum

Breakfast & dinner.

  • Visit Mount of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount
  • Drive through the Hula Valley to Banias
  • Set sail on the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum and visit the ruins of the ancient synagogue
  • Visit the First Century Fishing Boat on the Sea of Galilee

Mount of BeatitudesFull Day Itinerary: Today we start the day early at the Mount of Beatitudes, the location of Jesus’ “sermon on the mount”. Then north to Mount Hermon and the fascinating ancient sites of Dan and Caesarea Philippi (Banias). We return south through the Golan Heights, back to the shores of the Sea of Galilee where so much of Jesus’ ministry took place. 

We visit the sites at the ruins of Capernaum, and then take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee back to Nof Ginosar where we’ll see an authentic Sea of Galilee first century fishing boat before enjoying dinner and a night of rest.

Day 5: Jordan River, Beit She’an Qumran, Ein Gedi & Dead Sea

1 night Daniel Hotel or similar, Dead Sea. Breakfast & dinner.

Baptism service, YardenitFull Day Itinerary: Our day opens on the Jordan River where members of our group have the opportunity to be baptized. Continue later to Beit She’an, Qumran, and Ein Gedi, arriving at the Daniel Hotel on the Dead Sea in time for a “swim” in the Dead Sea before dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Jerusalem

4 nights Prima Royale Hotel or similar, Jerusalem. Breakfast & dinner.

  • Visit Masada, the fortress where Jewish defenders made their last stand against Romans in 73 AD
  • Travel to biblical Negev and Beer Sheva
  • Visit the ruins of Lachish
  • Continue on to Jerusalem

Cable car, MasadaFull Day Itinerary: Our day begins on top of the fortress of Masada where Jewish zealots made their last stand against Rome in A.D. 73.  We will travel to the biblical Negev visiting the extensive ruins at Beer Sheva.  Then on to the ruins of Lachish in the Shephelah.  Our day will end in Jerusalem where we will stay for the remainder of our time in Israel.  Dinner and overnight in our hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 7: Old City Jerusalem & Bethlehem

Breakfast & dinner.

  • Tour of Old City Jerusalem
  • Western Wall
  • Church of the Nativity

Church of the Nativity, BethlehemFull Day Itinerary: Our morning will focus on sites in the Old City of Jerusalem, including the southern temple steps and the rabbinic tunnels by the Western Wall. Later this afternoon we will visit the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem and visit an olive wood and gift store in Beit Sahour which is operated by a co-op of Palestinian Christian families. 

Day 8: Yad Vashem, Israel Museum, Via Dolorosa, Garden Tomb

Breakfast & dinner.

  • Holocaust Memorial Museum at Yad Vashem
  • Sites in Jerusalem’s New City
  • Return visit to the Old City

Children Memorial, Yad VashemFull Day Itinerary: Our morning will take us to the Holocaust Memorial Museum at Yad Vashem, the Israel Museum, and other sites in Jerusalem’s New City. We return to the Old City Christian quarter for lunch and walk the Via Dolorosa ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We end the day with a visit to the Garden Tomb for worship and communion.

Day 9: Jerusalem

Breakfast & dinner.

  • Tour of Jerusalem
  • Dinner at hotel

Full Day Itinerary: Full day of touring today with a visit to the ancient city of David.  We will then partake of a biblical garden tour and Passover meal at Yad Hashmona.  

Day 10: Jerusalem

Breakfast & dinner.

  • Full day free at leisure
  • Farewell dinner
  • Depart Israel this evening

Western Wall, JerusalemFull Day Itinerary: Enjoy your last free day in Jerusalem on your own. Later this evening, join your fellow group members for a farewell dinner. Late evening transfer to Ben Guran airport to board your return flight to the U.S.A.

Day 11: USA

  • Your fascinating journey comes to an end as you arrive in the USA later today.  Arrive to Boston and connect with your ongoing flight to Minneapolis.
