Continue to the pier for a boat ride on the Mekong River. Cruise up the river to visit the famous Pak Ou Caves. Later, enjoy a boat trip on Tonlé Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake, which expands dramatically during the wet season. Visit the village of Kompong Khleang, which is home to stilted houses and a fishing community, and explore the area by boat.
Afterward, visit the Angkor Wildlife and Aquarium (AWA) to learn about Tonlé Sap’s marine life and the conservation efforts aimed at protecting it. A behind-the-scenes tour with a marine biologist will provide insight into the lake's environmental challenges, such as habitat destruction and illegal fishing.
