On one of our latest Independent Adventures you’ll have the freedom to explore two vibrant Asian cities on your own: Hong Kong, the quintessential east meets west tourist city, and Taipei, over 300 years old but just breaching the tourist trail. In Hong Kong, you can savor dim sum and double decker bus tours, a ride up to Victoria Peak for the best panoramic views of the city or a cruise on an iconic junk boat for views of arguably the best skyline in the world. There’s so many must-see sites in Hong Kong, it’s no surprise city-lovers worldwide rank it among their top destinations. And then there is Taipei, an up and coming cosmopolitan locale set surrounded by mountains, with buzzing neon neighborhoods, traditional night markets down electrifying alleyways replete with world-class street food, and Taipei 101- formerly the tallest building in the world. No visit to Taipei is complete without a visit to the intricately carved Longshan Temple or the historical National Palace Museum. This urban metropolis is a pleasant surprise and sure to be one of your most memorable travel experiences.
